About Me: I have always loved the water and in 1992 had the opportunity to do a "try dive". It was brilliant! From there signed up for the Open Water course and did my qualifying and advanced dives in Antigua! I took EFR and Rescue Diver in the Cayman Islands and then Divemaster in the not so glamorous Leybourne Lakes in Kent. What I love about scuba diving is the peace and quiet and the feeling of weightlessness as you look around and see all the amazing sights – be it fantastic corals, colourful fish or when a wreck appears out of the blue.
I have been lucky to dive in Tobago, Grenada, The Sea of Cortez, The Red Sea, and the Maldives. I’ve had some outstanding dives – diving with sea lions at Los Islotes - a night dive with nurse sharks in the Maldives - waiting at the bottom while manta rays cruised overhead at a cleaning station. Then there was snorkeling with whale sharks. I could go on and on…

About Me: I’ve been diving since ’93 when I first dived as something to do on holiday. I enjoyed it so much I went on to train as Divemaster. It was good fun and very rewarding to work with students so I decided to become an Instructor, which I achieved in 2001. I met Richard & Alison when I supervised their Divemaster course and Ian when I taught his Open Water Course.
I love to see students making progress and completing courses that can be very challenging, but my favourite to teach is the Rescue Diver Course. Not only is it great fun as an instructor, but it’s such a worthwhile set of skills.
I have dived in Spain, Majorca and a good few Caribbean Islands. One outstanding dive was The Cenotes, a complex of flooded freshwater caves off the Yucatan Penninsula. My favourite dive is probably the Stavronikita in Barbados. It’s a very large and pretty deep wreck. I’ve dived there several times and it’s always a challenge. I’m looking forward to Instructing with a Dive School that gives it’s customers a relaxing, encouraging but at the same time motivating and fun experience.

About Me: Back in 1993 when I didn’t spend so much time in the pub, me and my good lady spent our Sunday nights at the local swimming pool when one evening a dive operation turned up offering try dives. Being an adventurous sort of chap I thought, "why not?" And that was it, I was hooked. Over the next few years I progressed through to Rescue Diver, Dive Master and finally Instructor. As an Instructor, I love being able to help students overcome their fear, see their confidence grow and teach them the skills they need to be a safe, confident diver. Having caught a serious dose of the ‘diving bug’, I love to open our students up to the world of diving, not just teach them to dive.
I’ve dived in Grenada, Tobago and The Cayman Isles to name a few. One favourite was seeing Hammerhead Sharks swimming beneath me in the Maldives. Diving with Nurse Sharks was pretty good too. That was a Night Time dive in the Maldives. Torches were essential kit that night. As for the future, a dive to 100m with a re-breather sounds exciting. Cave diving and cage diving with Great White Sharks are two things I really want to try.
