Open Water qualified: Oct 2008Neil doing his compass training with instructor Richard - Jamie, Neil and Johnny

Seahorse Scuba took on the challenge to train me along with two friends late last year. Neil and I were heading out to Thailand that December and I was determined to land on the beach with a PADI card in my pocket.

After two amazing days in the pool (confined dives 1-5) we advanced to Leybourne Lakes the following weekend. The weather was kind and I’ll never forget the mist clearing on the water as the sun came up for our first open water dive, we were lucky to say the least.

We all qualified late on the second day and celebrated with a relaxed tour around the lake where we found an old dumped car at 8m covered in muscles and weed from the years it has been abandoned. It was cold but not unbearable. It was hard work and the theory was challenging but I’m delighted we all worked hard and achieved a lot in two amazing weekends.

The diving in Thailand was incredible. Warm, clear water with so much to look at… I'm hooked for life and I know Neil & Johnny are also.

I have a huge thank you to repay the Seahorse Scuba team for their support and dedication during our training. We’re already planning our next courses with them.

A Big Thank You  (Open Water qualified: Oct 2008 - Jamie, Neil and Johnny)

As someone who was not confident taking my first steps into diving, I have Seahorse Scuba to thank for showing me the way. I liked to take time to get my head round all the skills and found the Seahorse Scuba team gave me all the room I needed. They answered every question I asked, even for the 9th or 10th time with kindness and patience. They also gave me plenty of chances to practise before assessing me.

I'm sure that my enthusiasm for diving is down to their support and encouragement and I can't wait to get back in the water with them and dive purely for fun.

Thanks to Alison for being calm when I was worried, thanks to Ian for helping me take it all in my stride and thanks to Richard for keeping Jamie busy! Thanks to you all for making the whole experience so positive.

All the best.

Neil

May 2010-"We wanted to extend our thanks to you for our refresher course on Sunday especially from me as I was extremely nervous but you made me feel very comfortable and I soon relaxed and actually felt the most confident I have felt in the water for a long time.

We will certainly bear you in mind, if we continue with our courses or wish to join you at Leybourne Lake one weekend.

Thanks once again

Kind Regards"

2nd June 2010- I just wanted to let you know that I had a great time this past weekend doing my confined water dives.  Richard was a great instructor.  He was really nice and he took his time going over the theory with me which I really appreciated.  I was definitely happy with the course Richard and Alison provided.

Thanks again!

Kind regards,
Mary Macclellan

26th September 2010-Hi Alison,

Just wanted to thank you once again for your support and persistence with Meridian, helping her to get past her anxiety over her mask and complete her JOW course. We really will be eternally grateful to you! You have a great way with children - calm, kind and supportive.
Regards,

7th February 2011

Hi Richard, Martin and Alison, I just wanted to drop you a note of thanks from Russell and me for the weekend training, as I didn’t feel confident that I would be able to get the hang of  it all, but with your patience and understanding I got there.

It was lovely telling people this morning what I got up to , which was a lot more interesting than their weekend activities!

I would not hesitate to recommend your services to anyone in the future, good luck with it all,

Regards.......Jacky N
