BEGINNER'S COURSES
PADI OPEN WATER COURSE
This is the first course for anyone who wants to dive for the first time. You must be 10 years of age or older to take this course. If you are between 10 and 15 you will qualify as a Junior Open Water Diver. If you are 15 or over you will qualify as an Open Water Diver.
There are 3 parts to the course:
- Knowledge & Theory
- Confined Water Dives
- Open Water Dives
Now you are a qualified Open Water Diver we can’t wait for you to dive again with us. Keep in touch and become part of the Seahorse Scuba diving community or come back and take another course. PADI OPEN WATER REFERRAL Traveling abroad? Want to learn to dive but avoid spending your holiday in a classroom? The Open Water Referral is the course for you. Complete your Dive Theory and Confined Water Dives with Seahorse Scuba and then finish your Open Water Dives on holiday. You can qualify in some warmer waters if it's winter in the UK. Or if you get really excited and want to keep going, you can finish your training and qualify with us. Click here for Prices
SCUBA REVIEW
Been out of the water for a while but itching to get back in? If you are a qualified Open Water Diver but haven't used your skills for over 6 months, take a Scuba Review Course with us. ADVANCED COURSES
PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER COURSE
The ‘Advanced’ course takes you on from your basic Open Water Skills. It involves 5 dives which you will select with your Instructor. There are 2 compulsory dives: Deep Dive and Navigation Dive. You can tailor the other 3 dives to fit your own needs and ambitions from a wide variety of specialities. You can choose from:
- Boat Diver
- Drift Diver
- Dry Suit Diver
- Multilevel Diver
- Night Diver
- Peak Performance Buoyancy
- Search and Recovery
- Underwater Naturalist
- Underwater Photography
- Wreck Diver
EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE (EFR) COURSE The EFR Course is a basic training in CPR and Emergency Care. You will learn the same emergency proceedures used by Paramedics and Doctors. Module 1 takes you through the practical application and hands-on practise in the support of someone who is ill or injured. Module 2 focuses on what to do if Medical Assistance is delayed and how to maintain a high level of patient care.
PADI RESCUE DIVER COURSE The Rescue Diver Course is an essential stepping stone for anyone wishing to take their diving beyond the recreational level. We will teach you the knowledge and skills required to assist and rescue any divers in need while making hazard and accident prevention the top priority. The course is also essential if you wish to continue on to take the PADI Divermaster or PADI Instructor courses.
The course covers both theory and practical application of skills including:
- Self Rescue and Diver Stress
- First Aid
- Emergency Management
- Equipment Considerations
- Assists and Rescues
You must hold the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or an equivalent to take this course. You will also need to have taken a First Aid course covering CPR Training in the last 3 years. PADI MASTER SCUBA DIVER COURSE
The highest level in recreational diving is the Master Scuba Diver. This qualification shows you have achieved the highest standards of knowledge, training and experience of the underwater world. Become the best of the best as a Master Scuba Diver.
PADI DIVEMASTER COURSE
The Divemaster qualification takes you a step beyond recreational diving and is your first step into the professional world.
As a qualified Divemaster you can assist Instructors in training and supervise diving activities. If you want to help others learn to dive, this is the way to go! You will be trained to have excellent diving and rescue skills, a deep theoretical knowledge and the skills needed to supervise and coach less experienced divers.
You must be at least 18 to take this course, have logged at least 20 dives and hold the Rescue Diver qualification. Click here for Prices
