Welcome to the Seahorse Scuba Blog/Diary page.

This is where you can find out everything we get up to in the world of diving.

We will start posting Blogs/Diaries as soon as we begin diving again this year, as currently the average temp is a bit cold!

Get the latest here on how the Seahorse Scuba Students are getting on with their training and what our Instructors get up to when they're off diving around the world!

22nd May.- the weather looks set fair for the holiday weekend for a change, some of the team are planning to dust off their kit and get wet. Martin is planning a bimble in Leybourne next weekend. Martin wants to check his kit before his holiday in Majorca in June.

31st May.- A beautiful morning dawns and it's off to Leybourne for the team, Martin and Alison for a quick dip, Richard to watch from the side, keeping Martin's partner Anne company! The water is really suprisingly warm, pushing 20 degrees. Martin gets plenty of stick from the rest of the team as he reveals his new (and first ever) tattoo, a hammerhead shark. Despite the nice conditions the fish seemed reluctant to make much of an appearance so, despite making a good exploration of the lake, there wasn't much exciting on view. (Alison claims to have spotted a large one but Martin never caught a glimpse).

14th -28th June- Martin enjoys the sun (and some diving) in Majorca, Scorchio!! Temperatures hitting the mid 30's the sea however was a wee bit cooler, low 20's. Despite that a few good dives and some enjoyable sights. Anybody going there and staying on the south western part of the island who fancies a dive, check out Marc from "West Coast Diver" based at the Hotel Bonanza Playa in Illetas.

16th August- The team check out what Buckland Lake has to offer. This is a flooded quarry near Cliffe Woods in Kent. The general consensus was that this site would provide a good alternative to Leybourne and in future we may use both for courses, perhaps scheduling one day at each site so providing a bit of variety to our students.

10th-24th October- Martin and Anne off for a break in Barbados, weather amazing despite it being the rainy/hurricane season. Got some diving in with Rogers Scuba Shack based at the Boatyard in Bridgetown. This is a well run outfit offering a range of packages to suit everyone. Some good diving capped off with an amazing 12 turtles spotted on the last dive. A few pictures to be posted soon

Late October/Early November-Richard and Alison on a quick break in the Maldives, pictures to follow later.
